BOYS' BASKETBALL M .haf The Bulldogs' 1951-52 Baseball team was defeated only four times in twenty-three starts. The classy pitching of Laird, Busby, Sikes and Ashley was backed by a flawless field. On many occasions, outstand- ing play by the entire team held the opponents to a low score. 1951 - 52 leffermen Pitchers: Laird, Busby, Sikes, Ashley, Johnson. Catchers: Cox, G. Franklin. Infieldersz J. Smith. D. Franklin. Southern, Parker. Outfieldersz Lanier, Cupit, Riser. Billy Joe Bo Laird the most outstanding athlete of Crowville High School. He lettered four years in Football and Basketball and five years in Baseball. He was given honorable mention in the All-State Football teams of 1951-52 and 52+53 as well as serving as Co-Captain of his own team. Bo also was a Basketball stand-out, leading his team in scoring on many occasions. Baseball is Bo's favorite sport and the one in which he excells. He is one of the most outstanding pitchers in North Louisiana as well as a long-ball hitter who consistantly topped the 300 mark.
