Armed with equipment suitable for attack on the school menu , the Class of ' 48 en¬ tered C. P. High rarin ' to go, way back in the good ol ' days of 1944. Quickly subdued by Yesterday ' s Seniors , the ' 48er ' s got into the spirit of festivities by initiating the Frosh Hop, a hugh success. Several returning war vets joined the class in its Sophomore year, adding their know¬ ledge of the world to their already aging classmates. The ordering of the ' 48 sweaters and rings was the big issue in that year. In their third year the Junior Play and the Junior-Senior Prom shared the top events. These activities were financed by management of various athletic events, especially the Holi¬ day Tourney. In the last round of their school life they made good use of their dwindling time with the Little Five Hop, the Senior Play, and the annual Holiday Tourney. With a few gray hairs, they emerged triumphantly on Graduation Day fully equipped with the requirements neces¬ sary to contribute their best to their country and their fellow citizens. Page 26
