MISS JENKINS has charge of the Spanish and civics department. Evidence of her ability is found in the records of Crown Point Debate Teams and N.F.L. members who are under her leadership. This young teacher received her training at Purdue U. where she merited her B.S. degree. MRS. KING: At the end of the first semester, we reluctantly saw Mrs. King vacate her long-accepted position in the comerical dep ' t. of Crown Point High School. She will always be remembered for her fine council and guidance as well as splendid teach¬ ing. Mrs. King attended Ball State Teachers ' Col¬ lege where she received her B.A. degree. MISS LAUTERBUR is active in teaching Sopho¬ more English, beginning shorthand, journalism, and is a responsive librarian leader. This teacher ' s uni¬ que literary touch is evidenced in the Inklings which she sponsors. She attended Mount St. Joseph College in Ohio and Ball State Teachers ' College where she received her B.A. degree. MRS. MRACEK instructs the advanced classes in English and American Literature. The Freshman Class receives this teachers advice in their activities. She attended De Pauw U. where she received her A.B. degree. Page 22

MISS EBEL ' S schedule at CPHS includes the instruction of Freshman students in English and mathematics. She is sponsor of the Excalibur, the Girls ' Bowling League, and helps sponsor the Fresh¬ man Class. Miss Ebel attended St. Francis College and Purdue U. where she received her B.S. degree. MR. EWING conducts our fine band and thrills audiences with his fine music. He attended New York U. and Manchester College where he received his B. S. degree. MISS GERHARDT teaches English, Latin, and speech and does a splendid job of coaching the Junior and Senior plays. She attended the College of Education at Michigan and Western Michigan College where she received her M.A. degree. MR. HALE does a thorough job of instructing the machine shop classes as well as directing the Machinist ' s Club and the Senior Class. He attended Indiana U., Purdue, and Indiana State Teachers col¬ lege where he received his B.S. degree. Page 21

Page 23 MRS. PALMER is especially popular with the girls of our school as she has charge of the girls ' physical education classes and the active G.A.A. Mrs. Palmer has attended Indiana U., Purdue U., and also Ball State where she received her B.S. de¬ gree. MISS PRENTICE, our new home economic ' s teacher, teaches homemaking and also has charge of the school cafeteria. She attended Hanover and Purdue where she received her B.S. in Home Ec¬ onomics. MISS RICKENBAUGH ' S time is devoted to the teaching of subjects included in the commercial field. The highly successful and active Sunshine Club is under her sponsorship along with sponsor¬ ship of the Freshmen Class. Miss Rickenbaugh at¬ tended Oakland City College, Central Business Col¬ lege, and Indiana U. where she received her B.S. degree. MR. RUBY is remembered for his excellent teach¬ ing of biology and the coaching of basketball. The Sophomore Class has the advice of this teacher in their activities. Mr. Ruby attended Ball State, Ind¬ iana U., Canterbury College, and Earlham College where he received his A. B. degree.
