MR. CARNAHAN is not only Crown Point ' s well- known athletic director, but also an instructor in health classes and one of the sponsors of the Sopho¬ more Class. Mr. Carnahan attended Washington and Lee College in Virginia, Indiana State Teachers ' College, and the University of Illinois where he re¬ ceived his B.S. degree. MR. CHURCH instructs the boys in mechanical drawing and woodshop. He sponsors the Boys ' Bowl¬ ing League and assists in the sponsorship of the Junior Class. He attended Indiana State Teachers ' College, Illinois U., Butler College, and Purdue where he received his B.S. degree. MR. DALTON instructs the students in the sub¬ jects of biology and agriculture. The F.F.A. is under this teacher ' s sponsorship along with part of the Junior Class. He attended Warton Tech. School in England, Instructors Training School, also in Eng¬ land, and Purdue where he received his B.S. degree. MR. COCHRAN has the most interesting clas¬ ses of chemistry, physics, and mathamatics. He is one of the sponsors of the Junior Class and directs the Science Club. This teacher received his ed¬ ucation in the following places: Indiana Central College; Naval Air and Navigation School in Fla- orida; Central Normal College where he received his B. S. degree; and Indiana U. where he received his M. S. degree. Page 20

MISS EBEL ' S schedule at CPHS includes the instruction of Freshman students in English and mathematics. She is sponsor of the Excalibur, the Girls ' Bowling League, and helps sponsor the Fresh¬ man Class. Miss Ebel attended St. Francis College and Purdue U. where she received her B.S. degree. MR. EWING conducts our fine band and thrills audiences with his fine music. He attended New York U. and Manchester College where he received his B. S. degree. MISS GERHARDT teaches English, Latin, and speech and does a splendid job of coaching the Junior and Senior plays. She attended the College of Education at Michigan and Western Michigan College where she received her M.A. degree. MR. HALE does a thorough job of instructing the machine shop classes as well as directing the Machinist ' s Club and the Senior Class. He attended Indiana U., Purdue, and Indiana State Teachers col¬ lege where he received his B.S. degree. Page 21
