A Change In Tradition In the past years, the jun- ior-senior prom has been at a hotel. This year our stu- dents were honored by be- ing able to have their prom at the Colonial Country Club. This was the first prom the country club has allowed there in years. It was a little different having the prom at a country club but everyone had a great time. Everyone began show- ing up for the Grand March at 7:00 p.m. There were probably some of the best dressed couples in Fort Worth on April 23, 1988. The slide show brought back many memories when it showed at 10:30 p.m. on that special night. No meal was served but there was a buffet throughout the eve- ning. The buffet consisted of steamship beef buffet, smokie sausages, sesame chicken strips, a variety of cheeses with crackers, a fresh fruit platter, finger sandwiches, assorted pas- tries and fruit punch. The prom song was Why Can't This Night Go On Forever by Journey. This year the juniors, seniors, and their sponsors seemed to have outdone themselves with the money they raised ear- lier in the year with mag- azine sales. Senior Liska Lewis recalls the evening by stating lt's sad to think about prom coming because it signals the end of the year but the magic of the night and the kind way everyone treats everyone makes it worth while. 26 Prom A Hoping she'Il say yes, Sr. Clif- ton Short proposes to Sr. Kim Tan- ner. Clutching Diplomas, Good bye. The long awaited final night that the Class of 1988 had worked toward for 13 years arrived June lst. Due to the possibility of rain, commencement exer- cises were held in the gym. The Seniors really didn't mind much, for it was their last time in the Eagle gym as students of Crowley High. There was a definite sign of excitement in the air as 240 seniors received their diplomas. Among the grad- P Carrying a French flag that she gave to the school, Foreign Ex- change Student Nadege Delouzan enjoyed attending Crowley High. Seniors Say uates were two special sen- iors, Jacob Lemke and Te- resa Hathcock. The audience and students gave standing ovations as they received their diplomas. With the conclusion of the awarding of the diplo- mas, the Seniors were de- clared graduated, and invit- ed to turn their tassels, signifying the end of their high school career, and the beginning of a new life. ..
