Close-up To U.S. Government Students Travel To Washington The United States govern- ment is a very complicated machine that very few peo- ple find easy to understand. The week of Veteran's Day nine curious Crowley stu- dents traveled to Washing- ton D.C. to see what it is really all about. The students attended seminars and met important government officials such as Representative Dick Army. They went sight see- ing to places such as the Lincoln Memorial, the tomb of the unknown soldier and the Memorial Wall. All of the students say they had a wonderful time. They also met students from all over the country who shared in their interest in the way our governmental system worked. Even Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Campbell learned a few things of their own. The night of December 3, the Close-up students got if f-'W 0 fy-1-1, . ., ,. together again and shared their photos and special memories of the time they spent together in the na- tion's capitol. They had a few laughs and surely built memories that will last for- ever.
