Rallies Promote Spirit Create Feelings Of Pride Pep rallies have been a big tradition for a number of years. Senior, Doug Tracy said, We should have pep rallies for every sport. Traditionally, the pep ral- lies have been only for the Varsity Football team. A new tradition is honoring others. The Cross Country, Volleyball, and J.V. Football teams along with the Band were honored. Despite this disagree- ment, most people agree that pep rallies do help the athletes. Senior, John Hackworth said, Pep ral- lies promote school spirit in support of our athletic teams. Pep rallies also give not just athletes, but the stu- dent body, a feeling of pride. I get a feeling of pride every time we sing the alma mater. It is so great that I can't even describe it. lt is also neat how the foot- ball players sing it too after being so emotionless during the whole pep rally, said Senior, Mary Kroenung. Pep rallies get better as they promote more school spirit and unveil even more school pride. 12 Pep Rallies P Llstenlng intently to Coach Jack, Srs.
