C96 Q26 x0 fag! Q P556 Freedom of Choice. Gentleman's Quarterly still soars above all other trend magazines. The 1986-87 school year was a big year for Crowley Fashion. With the in- creased enrollment came a big up- swing in the number and variety of students who really cared about how they looked. As it became harder to label people into set groups or categories, these 'igroupsw became even more extreme. Preppy girls chose to hide their con- ventional haircuts with massive bows - often glorified bandanas, emblazoned with rhinestones and silver clasps -to achieve new heights in Preppydom. Last year's new wavers became this year's punks. They were surprisingly daring in their quest for an alternative lifestyle. Ropers struggled to become more noticeable. Their sense of style includ- ed not only cowboy hats and boots, but dusters, spurs, and huge rodeo belt buckles. Generra, Outback, Red, Forenza, Guess?, Sperry, and Vuarnet, which were all relatively new clothing labels, enjoyed increased popularity as well as a huge following: Coca.Cola clothing, Swatch Paraphernalia, Paisley prints, and Corona Beachwear all led quickly after school began in the fall. Lights! Camera! Action! Adding humor to this scene, Leroy lJohnathon Moorel,unknowingly, is soon to meet his doom, as Rhoda will 'seek vengeance against him as a result of his silly teasing. N.: an A Q ' vis-. 14 e ccc i l ! 1 -si The 86 production of A Bad Seed, written by Maxwell Anderson, was en- joyed by all. Needless to say, this was a chilling play. The story is generally about a young girl and her mother. The spoiled young girl murders many people out of her jealousy and her uncontrollable temper. Her mother ends up going crazy after realizing what her daughter has done. The ending, however, is very unex- pected. The young girl lives, after her mother attempts to murder her. But, ironically, the mother succeeds in com- mitting suicide. 14 Opening ln a chilling scene, Rhoda lLaura Campbell! is held tightly by Christine lLisa Grayl, her mother. Shocked - Rebecca lAmy Smith! and Richard lWade Burkl hear news on radio.
