MARY LUCILLE CHESSMORE This book you now hold in your hands has been dedicated to a well known and very special lady at Crowley High. Mrs. Lucille Chessmore came from a family of four brothers and four sisters, reared on a dairy in Abilene, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from McMurray College. 1975 marks Mrs. Chessmore's 15th year of teaching experience. She has been with Crowley High School since its very beginning. Small is the group of graduates who have passed through CHS with- out being influenced by Mrs. Chessmore. This is our special way of saying Thank You to Mrs. Chessmore for her continual devotion of time and concern for CHS students. We know each a little better because we have taken the time to look past what we thought was so odd about the other and share our emotions, opinions, and dreams. This period of time that has passed has been an adventure, a journey into the life of each other. Each moment has brought a new phase of one another in which we have discovered the beauty of friends. We could sit right now and laugh, talk, and cry over this time we have been together. We can share our emotions freely because we have leamed from one another and been through it together. Striving for our individual goals, we have seen the pain that each has had to go through to achieve their dreams, to live their adventures. V For some , next August will come and we will again share a short segment of our lives. For others, August will be a start of a bigger goal to achieve, adventure to seek, life to live. It will mean leaving those we share so much with and taking only the memo- ries with us. I wish that we could say that we will see each other again soon, but tomorrow is prom- ised to no one. If we do see each other again, let us spread our arms out and welcome each other cheerfully. If not, let us remember each other and the time we spent together. Let us be glad we passed this way at least once.
