Gail Knox, Carolyn Monkres, Francyne Coffey, Maxine Walker, Genger Rasberry, Roma Jan Spikes CHEERLEADERS This year six of our high school girls were honored by being c hos e n by the members of the pep squad as cheerleaders. Much of the success of the pep squad depended upon the leadership of these girls who proved to be very efficient and dependable. The apparent ease with which they kept in harmony as they went through various actions to accompany the yells didn't just happen. They spent many hours practicing in order that they might do'their job successfully. Francyne Coffey, a junior, was c ho s en head cheerleader. In preparation for her work she attended Midwestern University Cheer Leader'sSchool at Wichita Falls, Texas, for aweek during the summer. Gail Knox, also a junior, was one of the leaders during her freshman year and was head leader last year. Roma Jan Spikes, a sophomore, se rved during her freshman year too. Maxine Walker, a sophomore, and Genger Rasberry and Carolyn Monkres, freshmen, were new at the job this year. Roma Jan, Carolyn and Gail have also attended one session of the training school at Midwestern. These girls deserve a great big hand for a job done well.
