Probationary members were also presented. A Miss Merry Christmas contest was spon- sored in collect donations of food and money. These were presented to the Lane County Juvenile Department. The student council, under the leadership of Mr. Marshall, is a student self-government 'ff group composed of student body officers and representatives from each class and organi- zation. They determine student body policies and contribute special services to our school. Five representatives from Crow attended the first Student Council Workshop for B schools held at Harrisburg high school. This was an opportunity for small schools to dis- cuss problems pertaining to their school. They also sponsored a contest for the de- sign of a Crow high school crest. The crest is the first designed for our school. GAA Hey, there's another pop bottle! I'll get it! Is that some more paper over there? A typical conversation between GAA mem- bers as they cleaned up the football field and bleachers after a game, one of their several ser- vice activities. Intramurals, sponsored by the club, provided recreation during the noon hour. Snowflakes, sprayed trees, candles, and pink and white streamers transformed the cafeteria into a Land of Enchanted Snowflakes, for their Christmas dance. A spring swimming party held for all GAA mem bers ended the season's' activities.
