Text from Pages 1 - 104 of the 1981 volume:

Thanks to You! At the beginning of the 1980-81 school year the student body felt that they would have a dismal year because of the lack of funds for extra-curricular activities; Including sports, drama, and a yearbook. But, because of the determination of students, teachers, and concerned citizens, we over- came these obstacles and had a fulfilling school year. The Athletic Boosters deserve special recognition for their active drive for funds to provide a complete sports program. This drive was lead by: Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Salyer, Mr. and Mrs. John Kaszyca, Mrs. Barb Harbour, Mrs. Carol Kemp, and many others. We the yearbook staff would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Black for their assistance In providing guidance, encouragement, and most importantly their time In completing this yearbook. We want to also thank Mr. George Benko and Karen Rutherford for their help and time. We would especially like to express our deep appreciation to Mr. Groner for his many hours of work In assisting with this yearbook. Without his untiring efforts this yearbook would not have been possible. We hope this book will be enjoyable and bring back many memories. STAFF Becky Benko George Benko Kim Dinoto Paula Francis Theresa Makarewlcz Jane Mattlson Rosanne Miller Juli Vassallo Ellle Vratanina THE YEARBOOK STAFF Penny Allen, Editor Barb Benko, assistant editor Phil Ventimiglia, assistant editor Congratulations THOUGHTS OF WAYNE It's a measure of people who don't understand Why God has taken him from this land. His untimely death took us all by surprise Leaving us with his memory and tears in our eyes. And all of these people who cry them selves to sleep Must realize that he is forever in God's keep. He was raised thru 17 besutiful years of life By an unfaulting father and his dear loving wife. They raised him. from boyhood to a young man Till his battle for life he relentlessly ran. So his friends must cry not for self But for his family who have only his picture on shelf. Our Lord knows how hard we've all tried, But just like all others, even I-cried. My comforter told me it's okay to shed a tear 'Cause now he's at the place which knows no fear. It's okay when we shed happy tears, like rain, Now knowing that our friend will no longer Suffer or endure thaf awful thing called pain.
