MILLION DOLLARS . . . ... and a jelly roll, the 1971 annual staff was persuaded to dedicate this book to Mr. Thomas Regan, who has contributed much to this school as an excellent teacher and as J-V basketball coach. Mr. Regan has been teaching United States History at Cros-Lex since 1963, and ever since his very first day, stu- dents have been modeling themselves after him (see photo below). His tech- nique of teaching makes the class a very lively one to attend. He challenges his students, argues with them, and makes them THINK rather than just handing them the answers. His students are moti- vated with elaborate chalkboard draw- ings and stimulating discussions. Once you succeed in deciphering his hand- writing and spelling, you’ll win the ad- miration of your fellow students. And if your grades are slipping, your best chance for a bribe is a big plate of spa- ghetti, with apple pie for dessert. Now, Mr. Regan, how about if we give YOU the rest of the day off? 3

FOR ONE IN MEMORY The students of Croswell-Lexington experienced a deep sense of loss dur- ing the school year with the deaths of two members of the Class of 1970: Brian Juzysta and Bob Meneghin. We will remember Brian as a dedicated sportsman and an outstanding baseball pitcher, and Bob as a lover of the outdoors and a skillful mechanic. The Class of 1971 wants this yearbook to be a memorial to these two alumni. 2
