The varsity debate team did a tremendous job this year by finish- ing 10-10. This sounds even bet- ter when taking into consideration that this was the first year of de- bating for 3 of the 4. NOVICE DEBATE M. Wright, Mr. Foss, J. Stencel, J. Sumow, B. Ebner. The novice debate team got an excellent start in debating this year. We're sure they will do well in the following year, if they keep up their top notch debating. FORENSICS A few of the students at Cros-Lex did an out- standing job in Fo- rensics this year by capturing 3 Firsts in Blue Water League competition and 2 Firsts in the District competition. 69 DRAMA CLUB GIRLS’ ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION K. Bartley - Pres., P. Shinn-V. Pres., J. Shinn-Reporter, Mrs. Sturt- r idge-Advisor. The G.A.A. participated in several sporting events with other schools. The events were basketball, soccer, and track. The Drama Club presented two outstanding plays this year, presented in the ever popular Thea- ter in the Round. The first was entitled If Men played Cards as Women Do. It was a hilarious parody of the manner in which the Tuesday afternoon bridge club plays cards. The second play, Bertha the Beautiful Typewriter Girl, with a thrilling rendition of the exciting, suspenseful, ro- mantic, melodrama theme. Congratulations to the club for its fine presentations. J.
