Class Colors: Cranberry and Pink Class Flowers: Carnations The Senior Class of 1964 is indeed proud to be the first class to graduate from the new Croswell-Lexington High School. October was the time of Homecoming and the Seniors took third place with their float, Pitch ’Em Home. By November the class was in full swing selling Christmas cards to make money. The play, Father's Been to Mars, was presented on December 5 and 7 by a different cast each night. This year the Seniors varied a little in the annual senior dinner. The dinner is one way in which the class earns money for the trip to Washington. This year's class prepared (with the help of parents) and served the Republican's Lincoln Day Banquet for ap- proximately 600 people. The Banquet was held in the new high school gym. Confusion was the keyword at Cros-Lex one early day in spring this year, when the class proclaimed a Senior Day by wearing sweatshirts wrong side out and sunglasses. However, things got a little out of hand when a few members appeared with pants wrong side out with crazy hats and other gimmicks. Crowned as the royal couple to reign at this year's Junior-Senior Prom were Donna Wood and Dick Grandy. The year passed swiftly, ami suddenly the senior trip was upon them. A wonderful week in Washington was the perfect crowning of their high school careers. Finally, graduation day arrived. To the strains of Pomp and Circumstance the 1964 Seniors left high school behind them and entered a much broader world. The new Croswell-Lexington High School released the first in a long line of senior classes from its doors into adulthood. 29
