The Croswell-Lexington High School Band, under the direction of Jerome Shaffer, is very proud of its achievements through the year 1960-61. We have enjoyed the years' activities immensely. We were able to participate in the following engagements: Six Football Games Christmas Concert University of Michigan Baiul Day Sanilac County Band Festival Homecoming Parade Music Appreciation Assembly Sperry Christmas Parade District Band Contest Christmas Assembly Spring Concert Blue Water Festival Mayor Exchange Day Memorial Day Parade The band has two projects each year that we are proud of. One being the scholarships presented to the four outstanding members who will continue in band through high school. The scholarships enables them to attend the Michigan State University Youth Camp during the summer. The other being the John Philip Sousa Award, which is presented to the outstanding senior bandman.
