CLASS HISTORY — 48 We entered our Freshman year with a forebodenos of High Sohool. wary of the upper classmen and soared to death of that grim ritual, the Freshmen Initiation . The dreaded day finally arrived, though, and aside from the faot that we had a couple girls get a little weak, and some of the boys a bit un- comfortable, we survived and beoame a legal part of the High School. Oh, Sophs I The next year we were a year wiser in the ways of this ex- citing adventure, oalled High Sohool. Yes, we sven enjoyed the Freshmen Initiation , beoause,of course,this time we weren't on the receiving end. The end of the year and we were half way through the last lap of our Journey. Oh, that next year was an exolting year! We had a magazine sale, with the boys competing against the girls. The boys won, but the girls weren't far behind. The Junior play, Kempy , was postponed about five times because of the snow storms and blocked roads. We were beginning to wonder if we were ever going to be able to present it. We finally did, though, and it was a hilarious success. Then! That great Junior event, the ordering of our olass rings. Oh what a thrill it was when they finally arrived 1 Funny thing though, quite a few of the rings were missing within a month or two. Oh yes, we put on a couple danoes that were a lot of fun for everyone. We had our Junior-Senior Prom changed from a private to a public dance, and we really had a nice crowd. We used a spring theme in our deooratlons, and it did Just- ice to all the hard work we spent on it. The Prom and Banquet were the climax of our Junior year, and were the most exciting part of a very exciting year. The last year is the happiest, and the saddest, the gayest, and the most fun. We're the upperclassmen now, and we reign supreme. We are sad at times though, to think that this is our last year in good old Croswell High. We are unwilling to leave behind our olassmates, our sohool friends, and some are even a little sorry to leave their class work and teachers. We will be seeking new friends and acquaintances, as we start out in our new world, but will never forget the fun and hard work that goes along with high sohool. This year has been very active. For one thing, we sold Christmas oards, the proceeds of which helps to pay for our trip this year. Our Class play, Mama's Angel Child, was presented and was enjoyed by a large audience. Senior Skip day is on the schedule for us (oh happy day I) ,and the Banquet and Prom again this year. Our trip, from Detroit to Mackinac Island, is also one of the highlights of the year. Our class officers of this last year in high school were as follows: President—Frank Barbs Vice President—Robert Reynolds Secretary—Mary Jane Kanaby Treasurer—Patricia Shell Student Council—Freida Kramer Robert Miller
