The total membership of the Student Council is twelve. The president and vice-president are elected at the end of the preceding school year by the members of t! e ninth, tenth and eleventh grades.The seventh and eighth grades each elect one representative. The purpose of the Student Council is to sponsor student activities such as dances,parties. assem- blies, relief drives, raise money for worthy school projects and to encourage the growth of respect among the student body for sportsmanship and citizens!ip. The Student 'Council hopes that more ideas will be suggested by the students.

Homemakers of America organization, but plan to do so in the near future. Upon joining this they vill be known as the Future Homemakers of America. The club is divided into four groups: Food, program, money making and a cabinet. Each group is headed by a chairman and tLe three chairman and the club officers compose the cabinet. The cabinet oversees the work done by the group. On December 4, the club held an initiation party,initi- ating all of the new members. A hay ride party was held on December 18, and was enjoyed by ail. The club is directed by Miss Laura Laehn, Home Economics instructor. The officers for the current year are Edith Meddaugh,President; Donna Mae French,Vice-president; Julia Ganley, Secretary; and Rosemary Juzysta,Treasurer
