The Freshman Class of '47 consists of 80 students. Class officers were elected at the first class meeting, held on September 12, 1946. The officers were as follows: Betty Ellis, President; Sue Cummings, Vice-President; Joyce Bingle, Secretary; Pauline Helm, Treasurer; Joan Iflacklem and Don Rieman, Student Council.

f«|( Srvenlffn When it came time to choose our initiation committee, we had many volunteers for every thing. The committee foi initiating the girls was: Joan Dimmick, Charlotte Evinski and liary Ann Dunn. The committee for the boys was: Bill Kerrigan, Vernon Wixson and Arnold Kettlewell. The food committee was Ileen Erbe, Bill Benjamin and Barbara Bertick. Each person of the class had a part in it. A lot of fun was had by all. When nominations for Football Queen were being made we choose Mary Ann Dunn to be the candidate for our class. We were the class whose candidate was elected, and she was crown- ed at the home coming game. We had a class meeting to discuss lighting the football field.
