Long, P. Wixson, M. Chadwick, O.M. Brown, B. Sturtridge. In September, '45, vocal became an accredited subject in Croswell High School under the direction of Miss Marguerite Craw- ford . The course res instituted to meet the increasing demand on the part of the students for specialized courses and to provide another school activity. The members of the vocal class have studied the fundamentals of music, a few composers, a little music appreciation, have prac- ticed radio technique, and have appeared in both community and school programs. As a class it has been very successful, and many of the students look ahead to next year when they will have another opportunity to improve their vocal abilities. 25

The Cros- well High School Band played at some of the athletic games, pre- sented a program of popular music, attended the Port Huron Music Festival, and presented summer band concerts in Croswell. The forty-eight members of the band feel grateful to Mr. Mitchell for his interest and leadership.
