WRESTLING Varsity Takes 'Em Down This year heralded a new dimension to Cross Keys Wrestling - the year of the Red Crush . A team composed mainly of 10th and 11th graders, the Red Crush faced one of the toughest schedules ever and proved they could live up to their name. Whatever the team lacked in exper- ience was made up with an extremely tough conditioning program. With such members as The Hulk Conlon, Maniac Williams, The Amazing Page, and their leaders, Carlos Aragon and Kim Tarzan Lewis, each having five years' experience, the team evoked fear into the hearts of their competitors. Also their coach and mentor, James WiIdman Hol- loway, proved he could turn a sports program around in his first year as head coach. With Carlos Aragon, Scott Williams, and Kim Lewis qualifying for championships, the entire student body and faculty wish the best of luck to Coach Holloway and his Red Crush !!!!! 4 2 ' zgvg 40, 6' , ,f - ,Q ' an Ng, EQ N - -A ' f 'gvld' ' 4 K ..- 1 -,,,-, .nf A. 11.4-r -as 1i' ai an ' 'E 'L I ITVQWE, if-iff cnc! .lr ff-W Front Row: Carlos Aragon, Coach Mike Harkins, Johnny Mialo, Tommy James Holloway, Kim Lewis. SWIMMING Boys Have Strong Season This year's Boys' Swim Team was the biggest Cross Keys has had in six years. Many of the swimmers had over three years of organized swimming experience. Swimming is an in- dividual sport that requires the ultimate in ability and conditioning, and even though it's a team sport, only the individuals go to the state meet. This year Coach Nichols helped guide the team to many successful meets, giving him eight years of coaching experience. This year's team would like to express its deep admiration for the coach who made it the best team ever! .
