Jr. Varsnt Drill Team Strives For Perfection Jr. Varsity Drill Team performs every Saturday mornings at the Jr. Varsity football games. They perform at least one routine at a pep rally. The girls sit in block formation at all games. On homecoming night, they sit in block formation with the Varsity Drill Team. CHEERLE DERS Varsity Boosts Spirit This year the cheerleading squad has gotten oft to a good start. During the summer they attended cheerleading camp at the University of South Alabama where they received one red ribbon for excellence, three blue ribbons for superior, a super-star ribbon and two spirit sticks. The summer captains were Mary Beth Campbell and Jan Newman. The football captains for this year were Jackie Jones and Bonnie Shapiro. They did a great job getting cheers and stunts lined up for football season. For basketball season, the squad of twenty girls break up into squads of ten girls. The basketball captains tor red squad are Aimee McDannaId and Jan Newman. The white squads are Donna Wright and Jackie Jones.
