Each quarter, students, with the help ol the subject area teacher, resource teacher and other re- source persons, plan and init iate individual programs ol study which permit them to pursue their inter- ests in a particular disciplinefsj. M Resources from within the school and community are used. Students participate in seminars, group activities, short-term projects, lield trips, service projects and other educational experiences. Students also have the opportunity to develop leadership abilities, to develop sell-discipline and a sense ol social responsibility. The members do many unique ac- tivities such as talking with Georgia Tech professors and getting up at 4:30 a.m. just to watch a meteor shower. Because many of the club members plan to pursue a science related career, the club provides a great opportunity for members to learn about science.
