Aside from marching with the band at football games and twirling at assemblies, they perform with the band in the Spring Festival and in parades. Cross Keys can well be proud of its Majorettes, for they are hard workers whose finished product has gained them prestige. 70

INDIANS ' BASKETBALL VICTORIES RESULT IN 4-AAA VARSITY TROPHY Doug Alexander Guard This year Cross Keys basketball games have brought wild excitement as our sky- scraping team pushed on toward one of their nine out of thirteen victories. Sur- prising authorities and experts, the team has come from behind to the First place in region 4-AAA. Experience, diligent practice, height, and determination to win spurred by their attentive coach are factors that have made the team a great one. Regardless of the final score the Indians will play a game well worth seeing. The player with his head highest in the clouds, Harry Kitchens, is the only senior on the team and will graduate in the spring. Still Coach Franks feels that because a of the members of the team have concen- trated on teamwork, Cross Keys will have an outstanding team again in the 1963-64 season. Dick Waters Center 72
