Prominent as Senior Class Presi- dent, Treasurer of Student Council, Varsity star in both football and baseball, the students and faculty of Cross Keys chose him as their candidate for the Optimist Club Most Versatile Award. Well respected by his fellow class- mates, Sonny was truly deserving of this high honor.

)onn GRADE REPRESENT A TrV ' ES include: SITTING: John Ramsey, Johnny Balkcom, Ricky Hughes, Gary Jones, Bruce Edmonds. STANDING: Tim Bice, Rusty Rags- dale, Don Lloyd, Tony Griggs, Sonny DelUnger. A traditional project of this year ' s Senior class is sponsoring the Mr. Cross Keys elections. This year each class chose two representatives and in a general election, Sonny Bellinger was selected as Mr. Cross Keys. 1963. Sonny ' s quick smile and easy personality have made him well liked by Cross Keys students and his active participation in sports and organiza- tions have made him one of the most outstand- ing Seniors. The other boys from their respec- tive classes are as follows: John Ramsey. Johnny Balkcom, Ricky Hughes, Ricky Jones, Bruce Edmonds, Tim Bice, Rusty Ragsdale, Don Lloyd, and Tony Griggs. 131

The honor is based on the highest college board scores coupled with an equally high record at school. Donna Anderton, this year ' s Star Student, certainly deserves this award for she is not only an exceptional student, but she is also Captain of the Debate Team, member of Beta Club, a National Merit Finalist, and Editor-in-Chief of the Key- word.
