Promoting interest in other countries, learning customs and exploring traditions are the purposes set forth by the Language Clubs at Cross Keys. Programs given by experienced travelers or by citizens of foreign lands are fascinating to the large group of students who are members of these clubs. Latin students discover by means of films and special programs, the value of studying the ancient Romans. Both past and present French students take pleasure in programs emphasizing life in France, and the French culture. The rich variety of topics to be found in Spain are brought out in the lively meetings of the Spanish Club. Newest of the Language Clubs is that made up of German students. German songs, history and its present posi- tion in the world are a part of this club ' s programs. Thus Language students find a chance to learn more about life in other countries and how to improve future rela- tions with these places.
