CLASS PROPHECY As I Marretta Senn started on my vacatron today June 10 1965 I decrded to stop at Cross Anchor and look up some of my class mates Upon amval at Cross Anchor I was astomshed at how much rt had grown rn the past ten years Frrst Istopped at Harrrs s to see Ann but was told that she was teachrng physrcal educatron at a large school up north As I walked on down the street I notrced a srgn whrch read Bobo s Drug Company Here I found Brlly Bobo as owner and C arol Burgess as pharmac1st They told me that Marun DeSh1elds became a Jet prlot after graduatron from the Cltadel and that John Nantz chose army lrfe as a career Walkmg down the street I m et Dot Starnes who was now manager of a large clothrng company rn New York From her I learned that S ar a B rllrngs and Nell Grady had marrred and both were l1v1ng rn Unron Shirley Lancaster and Nellre Brown were secretarres at a large law frrm rn Spartanburg Also rn Spartanburg but not as a secretary was Mary Frances Tucker Drrector of Nurses at the Spartanburg General Hosprtal At my old Alma Mater I found Patsy Woodruff and Bruce Prrnce Patsy was home economrcs teacher and Bruce Prrnce was the coach of the basketball teams When I asked about Bobby Lee Edwards I wasn't surprrsed to f1nd that he was manager of the Wxld Lrfe D1v1s1on of the Canal Paper Company At the Baptrst parsonage I found Mary Lourse Starnes who was makmg a perfect preacher's wrfe Mary Lourse told me that Joyce was domg a wonderful Job as State Baptrst Young People s Secretary AsI started to leave I notrced a famrlrar face on televrsron Yes rt was that famous televrsron comedran Lewls Taylor As I drove away from Cross Anchor I felt pleased because of my happy experrences I l r 1 1 0 . .
