- a N. .1 t 1' . - 'XA' Dear Students: Again you are approaching the end of another school year---a year that has brought many changes in your life. My hope for you is that you gradually come to a full realization that your life is planned and that you are a part of this civilization. From all indication you are entering a civilization that will bring about some of the greatest changes, within the next quarter ofa century, that has been wrought since the dawn of history. The opportunities are waiting for you, but you must do your part by study, patience, tolerance, and cooperation. Your teachers and parents can guide you, but they cannot do your work for you. You must strive toward perfection within yourself, even though you never reach the perfect goal. Life is a challenge and it expects the very best from you. Don't forget your Supreme Being in your plans for the future, He can guide you in all your endeavors. This annual is about to go to the press and my time is limited. So study hard, and play hard. Keep your actions and thoughts above reproach, believe in God and yourselves, and life can be worth-while with all its joys as well as sorrows and disappointments. Sincerely yours, 1. M

' 2, My congratulations to the editorial staff and sponsor of this fine yearbook. You will long be remembered by your classmates and teachers for the many hours of work on this project, in order that your school might have a report of the activities of the year 1955-'56. We should always remember that along with the privilege of attending public schools go some responsibilities. You, as students, have the responsibility of upholding your school's good name and high standards. The type school Crosbyton has, depends upon the student as well as the faculty This being my first year in Crosbyton I Want to pass on to you this little bit of information you have a very fine school here let s keep it that way and do what we can to make Crosbyton High School the best in West Texas I am very happy to be associated with you and any time I can be of any assistance I hope you will call on me Sincerely lik S T Hawkes Superintendent sv' l-an-qt Thy -Qu
