Q 05 vb' T .I Adi' l'O THE FA CUL TY AND STUDENT BODY: I congratulate the senior class and their sponsors for their courageous and industrious attitude in making THE CHIEFTAIN a true and representative edition of the Crosbyton Schools. To the seniors who are leaving Crosbyton High, our great hope is that you will lea ve with a greater conviction in abidihg principles and that you ha ve developed a real sense of values that will permit you to be a useful citizen in a complex society. To the undergraduates, let me challenge you to give attention to the book of rules, i'n proportion to the use of a kit of tools. lt is perfectly natural for thin to look big because they are close, and important because they are personal, but those who builgisonlyfor the immediate are doomed to disappointment. The faculty is to be commended for their professional growth this year, but we must be contin ous in our growth. Isn 't i t stran e that princes and kings, And cloWn5 that caper in sawdust Iings, And common people like you and me Are builders for Eternity? Each is i ven a bo A shapelgs A U- ok of rules, s mass and a kit of tools, nd each must build ere life is flo A stumbling block or a ste ' Wu pping stone. Cordially, it I ' .Wa -. ..
