-The Big My Most Embarrassing Moment On my first day of attending a college algebra class, I chose a desk in the front row and turned to find myself seated next to a nice looking young man. We began to converse, and he seemed to be very friendly. During the course of our conversation, I told him that I had heard that this class was supposed to be difficult, and heard some of the students remark that they were taking it over for the fourth time. I kept rattling on about how I hoped the teacher would be a good one and that I was going to work really hard because I did not want to repeat algebra class. He just nodded and smiled. Finally, the class began, and the man who had been writing information on the blackboard turned to the class and ex- plained that our teacher had been kind enough to let him use this class for an experiment ne was conducting to complete his doctoral thesis. Then he asked our real teacher to come forward so he could acknowledge him. The man to whom I had been speaking slowly rose, walked to the front of the room, and began describing the format of the class. He concluded by saying he hoped we wouldn't find the course too difficult, and then he look- ed at me and winked. Needless to say, I had a strong urge to crawl under my desk and hide. I had heard through the grapevine that four guys, who lived in the same dorm as I. were ad mouthing and talking about me behind my back. I arranged with a friend to hide under his bed while he invited these guys up to his room for some popcorn and Monday Night Football. At halftime of the game my friend started talk- ing about me in a negative way. Sure enough, the four bad-mouthers jumped right in and proceeded to spill their guts about that hateful Bill Strasser . Just when the good stuff was over, I climbed out from under the bed and said. Come on fellas, tell me what you really think of me. Marlyn Wigginton Bill Strasser Tearing my pants in chemistry. In class one day I was helping some students with a project, I bent over and split my pants wide open. I had to wear a pair of coveralls until I had a stu- dent go uptown and pick me up a new pair of pants. Then the new ones didn't fit!!!!! I thought the door to the sewing room was locked when I was repairing my slacks. Ask Krissy Bloom for details. t V When I was a student at Minot State College, a friend and I were running down six flights of stairs which led to the side entrance to McFarland Auditorium, right in front of the stage. We were yelling and screaming and I was in the lead. As I burst through the door I was yelling back to my friend. I turned to see where I was going and there was the Minot Symphony Orchestra in a rehearsal right in front of me. Bruce Morlock 14 Rod Gillund When I ran into the post in front of the school with mega people watching. Gary Molander
