Homecoming ”1976” You could tell right away Monday morning, the enthusiasm in the halls was stronger than usual. It had to be Homecoming. The excitement built with daily activities until finally the big days came. Thursday brought the coro- nation of queen, Bonnie Hingst, and king, Kent Haug- land, along with the parade. The Juniors' float won first prize. The game on Friday provided a perfect finale to the week when the Maroon football team defeated Botti- neau 8-0. Girls’ Basketball The Maroon Girls' Basketball team provided exciting basketball for its fans this year, under the direction of its new coach, Barry Haggin. The year was highlighted by winning second in both District and Regional Tour- naments. Outstanding players on the team were Penny Andrist and Kristi Redlin who were chosen for the All N.W. Conference Team, the Oil Basin Team, and the All District Tournament Team. Chandra Torgeson was also chosen for the All N.W. Conference Team and Suzi Kay Bakewell made the All District Tournament Team. I’m gonna get you.
