“
CROSBY, NORTH DAKOTA DEDICA TION Mom . . . Dad” It seems as though it were only a few short years ago when I used to look forward to a bedtime story and a chance to lick the cake bowl. But the years flew by and new things filled my desires . , . clothes, the use of the family car, dates, and MONEY. Yes, and you. Mom and Dad, were the ones who always shared these little things with me. You laughed when I laughed; cried when I cried. You knew and understood that all these things were just a part of my growing stage. And so. Mom and Dad, I offer this dedication to you to express my appreciation for all the loving memories of your trust, confidence, wisdom, understanding, friendship, and love you have given me through these years. 2 ANNUAL STAFF C. Alas, it is so. Now, what I’m about to tell you may sound a little blank, well, it is a blank sort of story but nevertheless so. As you well know, our play was concerned with a visit on earth from a mischievous angel who had hitched a ride down to earth with two angel friends. Funny little angels they were, for although they were visible to the eye of the audience, they actually weren’t visible at all. Oh, dear now I'm really not sure I make much sense at all. The point is that although they seemed to be quite visible they weren’t so at all, and this page is proof of that fact. What a disappointment when we found that our negatives taken of the play were only blanks, but what should we have expected, after all how can you photograph something that isn't there but really is, yet can’t be seen? Rather complicated little matter, isn't it. Well, that ends the explanation we have for offering you a page of this sort, but if you look real hard and use your imagination a little, I'm sure you will be able to see three angelic faces upon this page. Please don’t ignore them for they really did a marvelous job and after all, is it their fault they aren’t photogenic? Since they were the center of attention of our play we feel it's only fair that we also leave out the other members of the play cast so as not to hurt any feelings. But please remember us, angels and all. DOWN TO EARTH CAST AUGUSTA APPLEGATE-----Kathy Simonson PILONE........... AGNES.......... WILFRED........ HOMECOMING Homecoming Week began on Sept. 22nd with active campaigning for the Jr. and Sr. queen candidates. Ardis Grindeland and Pat Blevins, respectively. On Wed. the Jr. and Sr.' classes presented campaign skits for the student body, and at this time tne finalists for king r Lynn Melby, Larry Overbo, and Russ Gilbertson were announced. A parade and snake dance, followed by a bonfire and pep rally were held on Thursday nite. The climax of the week came on Friday nite, when the Crosby Maroons defeated the Mohall Yellow-jackets by a score of 13-6 for a Homecoming victory. After the game a Homecoming Dance with the theme Marai Gras” was held. The suspense was broken when the Senior class was awarded first prize and the Soph, class, second prize for the Homecoming floats. The coronation followed when Larry and Pat were crowned king and queen. Lunch was served at midnite. Homecoming was ended for another year. 50 JUNIOR-SENIOR PROM On a beautiful evening in April, the members of the Senior class were feted at a banquet and prom by the Junior class. The theme which was carried out throughout the night was ’’The Loveliest Night of the Year.” Intern Myron Carlson spoke at the banquet, and entertainment was provided by a senior girls'trio, which sang Moon River. The Grand’March, led by the junior and senior class officers and their dates, marked the beginning of the Prom as the couples moved slowly down the stairway to the floor, where music was provided by The Megatons. At the intermission, a junior duet sang The Loveliest Night of the Year. The theme proved to be true. CLASS NIGHT Amid tears and laughter the 50th graduating class bade farewell. 51 GRADUATION The class of 1964 chose their class colors and flower to symbolize that they were the 50th class of graduates from Crosby High School. An atmosphere of solemnness remained throughout the ceremony as the graduating class was addressed by the Commencement speaker, M. F. Peterson. Next came the moment of long awaited reward, presentation of diplomas. Following the presentation of the diplomas, tears of joy and yet sadness, could be seen as the students stood together for the last time to shake hands - knowing that this was the end, yet a part of the beginning. 52 0 me and my bip footl ■r. He was truly a great man.- History will immortalize his words of inspiration: Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country. He is gone ... his memory lives on. 56
