CLUBS QUIZ TEAM — The quick buzzing Ceramic quiz team had a banner year under the direction of Miss Trena Kinnan, going all the way to the semi-finals of the WHIZ television program, losing to Hiland in a highly disputed decision in which Crooksville thought they had won only to find out in actuality they had tied, in which Hiland was unjustly declared the winner in a five question tie-breaker. Nevertheless, the Ceramics did go farther than any other Crooksville team in the past, earning $100 for their efforts. The team members were Richard Ruff, a 3rd year member who served as an alternate as a Sophomore, Doug Baker, a 3rd year member who served as an alternate as a Freshman, Joe Frash, a second year member, and Brent Marshall, whose quick-thinking carried most of the burden throughout all of the matches. Alternates were Mark Pontious and Ken Browning.
