THE SUPERINTENDENT Mr. William Worthington has served as superintendent of the Crooksville Schools For the pasteighteen years. He start- ed in the First grade at East School at the age of six. He REALLY started at the bottom and worked up. He is described by the grade school students as that man who carries things, because he runs asort of personal delivery service to all the schools. He is described by the high school teachers as the man who spends clays and days Filling out report forms on a terribly messy desk. He may also be Found helping the janitor scrub a Floor, selling tickets at a ball game, counting lunch money, veri- Faxing copies of important papers, keeping a study hall, patrolling the halls of a building, or standing on the street talking--about school problems. It has been in his tenure that the new gym and science laboratories were built, the East, North, annd Luney build- ings have been remodelled; and MC Luney and BearField Town- ship have ioined the Crooksville Exempted Village School District. But through it all, his first interest has always been the students; and his proudest accomplishments are maniFested by the students' scholarship honors and their success with Further education or employment as a result ottheir educa- tion in the Crooksville Schools. THE PRINCIPAL Mr. Henry W. Null, Jr., has been principal of the high school For the past five years, He is responsible For its or- ganization and its discipline. And he only gets the discipline cases after they become too difficult for the teachers to handle. He listens to complaints and gripes about things in which he has had no partincausing. Hepinch-hits For teachers who are absent; he directed the band when he was needed; he in- herited the cheerleaders. He sees mostly the problem children, because his day is not long enough to include many of the good kids. He chaperones all school events and acts as bouncer when it is necessary to evict an undesirable. He sets an example with his loyalty and integrity. Without him, there would be mayhem. Yes, surely, misery is a high school principal.
