IN MEMORY OF W. DWIGHT DARLING who died August 2, 1967, after a life dedicated to public education. On his way from a one-room school to assistant state director of education, he served as superintendent of the Crooksville Schools from 1930 to 1951, with the exception of four years while he was in the United States army during World War 11. Mr. Darling will be remembered by a complete generation of Crooksville citizens as a teacher who stressed the learning of such intangibles as honesty, integrity, personality development, and re- sponsibility, long before educators chose to call it guidance. It is a matter of great pride to the community that he considered Crooksville his home and chose it as his final resting place. AND IN APPRECIATION T0 all the teachers who have contributed to the development of the school program, who have given of their time and talents to the education of the young people of Crooksville, and who have en- dured the trials and tribulations of these students' growing up.
