This board does everything it can to develop effective and for- ward-looking policy procedures within the framework of the laws of Ohio and withthe money available. Their regulations are re- sponsible for the efficient op- eration of the local schools. Above Above Mr. R. Hobart Allwine Mr. Ray Tolley President Vice-president At Right At Left Mr. Chester Leasuret Mr. Fred Piccone Clerk Below Mrs. A. C. Lawrence Below Mr. Carl Hughes THE SUPERINTENDENT Mr. William F. Worthington, who has spent 47 years of his life in the Crooksville Schools is the superintendent. He is a graduate of Crooksville High School and Ohio University and has done further graduate work at the Ohio State University. But he always comes home to the Crooksville Schools. His unfailing devotion to the schools has produced many major changes in the educational plants, the curricula, and the student population. As advisor of the student council, he has protected the democratic process in student participation and pro- moted school spirit and good scholarship. His influence on the schools will be long remembered and appreciated. THE PRINCIPAL Mr. Henry W. Null, Jr., has served Crooksville High School as its principal for the past two years. It is his thankless job to keep the everydayprob- lems of the high school running smoothly. Mr. Null is a graduate of Fairmont State College in West Virginia and of the Ohio University. Before coming to CrookSVille, he taught the physical sciences for 18 years. His activity in keeping the marching band together when there has been no director is an outstanding example of his loyalty to the school, which may well be followed by its students. Susan Miller chased Mr. Null with his gift. Raymond Potts and Mr. Boyden. Mrs. Schmotter's eighth-period study hall Elaine Rice helps Mr. Dennis at Open House. Dictation? Miss Keller? After winning an easy victory of 82-40, they played the semi-finals against Ames-Bern, defeating the Greenies by a Close margin of 79-72. The high- flying Ceramics then went to the sectional finals and defeated the confident Glouster Tomcats 87-66 to give them the district berth at Chillicothe. When the Ceramics-broke on the court at Chillicothe against Southeastern, every fan in the fieldhouse felt that Victory was certain. Southeastern had a record of 16-7, while the Ceramics had a 16-5 season record. The game was a tight contest until the last second when Ray Tackett sunk a 25-foot shot to give the Victory to Southeastern 65-62. Coach Bell and his Ceramics are to be highly commended as they followed the tournament trail to become one of the last 32 Class A teams in Ohio.
