WORTHINGTON MR. ROBERT K. CONLEY Mr. Worthington has served as Superintendent of Schools for 12 years. During his administration and supervision, we have witnessed progress made in the field of education by the remodeling of the East and North School buildings and, most recently, the remodeling of our old gymnasium into new class rooms and the building of one of the most modern gymnasiums in this area. We are very proud that this was accomplished during our senior year and we were privileged to use this new section for the first time. Certainly much hard work and effort has gone into this building program for which we are very appreciative. Mr. Conley has been our principal for four years and does an outstanding job of keeping our high school running smoothly. He has done much to encourage us to get the most from our education and is always willing to help us with our problems. We thank these men for what they have done for us as individuals, as a class, and in making our community a better place in which to live. Mrs. B. E. Alexander is our charming school secretary. Her fine work has kept the office running smoothly for the past four years. Her efficiency and willingness to help is greatly appreciated by both the faculty and the student body. The Senior Class of '63 would like to say Thanks for a job well done. 7 MR. Rosiland Milligan Secretary..........Virgene Wayne Treasurer..........Betty Kobunski 25 Swot 6lm Hutouj When we seniors started in Junior High School, it was as if a whole new world had just begun. We were constantly getting lost and, to make matters worse, everyone called us Greenies By the time we were in the eighth grade, we thought we were really big shots. Now we could laugh at the new Greenies , never thinking that we could have possibly been that bad. About halfway through this year, every member of the class was given the Eighth Grade Test, in which the upper 10% of the students were given certificates. Then all at once we were Freshmen in high school. We could now join clubs and be in many other extra-curricular activities. We will never forget the initiation into some of these clubs. This year also marked the beginning of the scholarship tests. By the time we were sophomores, we began to think of ways in which to make money for our senior trip. We sold light bulbs and took our turn running the concession stand at the home basketball games. Also, some of us went to the Junior-Senior Prom for the first time. We started off our junior year by showing everyone our new class rings, which we had ordered the year before. Our ways of making money this year included dances, a car wash, and a bake sale. The outstanding events of our junior year were the Junior Play, The Brain Storm , and the decorating for the Junior-Senior Prom. Our senior year was a very busy one. It began with the election of class officers and the choosing of the annual staff, which includes nine people elected by the class and approved by the principal. The school paper was published by the seniors who took journalism. Sources of income in our senior year included dances, the senior work day, a day in which the members of the class volunteered to do any odd job, and the Senior Play. Other highlights of our senior year were the Junior-Senior Prom, and of course, graduation. We, the seniors of ’63, will long remember all the happy times we have had these past few years, and we would like to thank the teachers and all others who helped us. 28 Smoi ewtudifiu FAVORITE SENIOR MOST TALENTED BIGGEST FLIRTS MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED BEST PERSONALITY BEST LOOKING ROW ONE; Pillsbury, McArtor, Moore, Sowers, Troyan, Milligan, Hilliard, Russell, Watts.
