Buckeye Boys’ State DELEGATES Dee Denman, Kay Thomas, Patty Coleman ALTERNATES Charlotte Matis, Sally Talbot, Cindy Watts Buckeye Girls’ State The purpose of Buckeye Girls' State and Buckeye Boys' State is to educate young people in the duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of American citizenship. Every member of Girls' State and Boys' State has a definite function in the government of their city. Buckeye Boys' State, sponsored by the American Legion, and Buckeye-Girls' State, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, are wonderful educational experiences for any young person.
