Only the event will teach us in its hour. When we step forth to take our place in society, it should be with a full understanding of our responsi- bilities toward that society. We must be prepared to help in social, family, and citizenship problems. Our rapidly expanding civiliza- tion with all its technological ad- vanceshasincreased the complex- ity of our situation. It is only by intelligent application of our back- ground of knowledge that we can hope to continue to advance and thrive under such conditions. It is hoped that your time spent at Crooked Oak High School has been and will be, not only the most pleasant time of your lives, but will serve to give you the back- ground for continued advancement in whatever field you may choose as well as the title, Outstanding Citizen.
