Students, Through the courtesy of the annual staff, I extend greetings to all the readers of this annual. I hope it will bring you pleasure. This annual will serve as a link between you and your school - a link based not alone on amusing memories, but also on things of intellec- tual and moral significance. This book will record deep and binding friendships of your school life. Each school year is a link in a chain, which, when completed, will be your life as a student in the Crooked Oak Schools. You have al- ready welded a number of links - one of them you are just finishing. Are you sat- isfied with it? If all the links which you fashion are like the one labeled 'I955', what kind of chain will you have? How much real progress have you made since Sep- tember I954? Are you a better citizen of your home, of your community? As your Superintendent, I feel that we have had a fine school year. I can com- mend, without reservation, our faculty and student body for a fine spirit of coopera- tion and loyalty - a spirit that has been most gratify- ing to our fine board of education and myself.
