l f'f'i Although they were unsuccessful in winning the election candidates for the vice presidency, David Rethford and Billye Calfee, and cmdidate for the presidency, Robert Meadows, wish the new council the best of luck and a very long life. STUDENT COUNCIL WF' 'he Smdems of Cfoclfed Ollli High School, in order to advance high standards of education, to create and maintain a wholesome understanding among the students and teachers. . . . . , , , , , , , , , , . Successful candidates, Fern Orr, vice president, andAlbert Snawder, presi- dent, discuss problems confronting the new stu- dent council. fflx 'Mt tan. Swirl The Student Council, organized this year, has as its members four representatives from each class. The frame work for the Student Council was prepared by members of the Na- tional Honor Society under the direc- tion of Mrs. Edith Flood. After the preliminary planning, a heated elec- tion was held with each member of the student body casting his vote for the candidate of his choice. The elected officers and represen- tatives then started to construct a constitution which will be accepted by three-fourths maiority vote of the student body. The student body and the faculty are very sympathetic toward this or- ganization and are looking forward with great anticipation to the activi- ties of next year's Student Council who plan to sponsor such worthwhile proiects as the redecoration of the 'Oak Hut and school beautification. Representatives meet to plan the new constitution.
