IN CROOKED OAK SCHCOL ue- en.: -179. ii, , In Tm The lndustrial Arts Department now has all neces- sary hand tools, a jig saw, drill press, shaper, table A tape recorder, two electric type- writers, and a 10 key adding machine have been purchased for the office practice class which was added to the curriculum on North Central. the recommendation of saw 'ointer surfacer, radial over arm saw, band I l I ' saw, and two wood lathes. This equipment enables students to do all furniture and cabinet work. A class in leather work, offered for the first time this year, also, is well equipped. g, ' W . . a ? N Six electric sewing machines and a vacuum sweeper help the girls become better homemakers. . -.4 X New tables and chairs were purchased for the bookkeeping and shorthand classes. The commercial department now has twenty-three typewriters that re used by 130 pupils a day. The department has a new silver coffee service, stemware, and a twelve place setting of china which combini 1 to make a beautiful table setting.
