Upon PICKING ' S decommissioning he otos or- dered to the USS JOHN POUl JON6S (DDG 32) ujhere he served until August 1 97 1 . In February 1 972 Commander Vosseler report- ed to Commander, U.S. Naval forces Advisory Unit, then as Com- mend Briefer for COMNnVFORV. in 1973 he attended the Novol Destroyer School in Neuuport, Rhode Islond, follouued by assign- ment to USS RICHnnO S. €DUJnRRS (DD 950) os uueopons officer.
