Pup carries for the Blue 19-0 The 'Dogs opened the first of a three-game home stand as they racked the Elkhart Elks at the damp Bulldog Stadium turf. 13-12 As the highly favored Water-Bears savored the thought of victory, the hard-nosed 'Dogs came from be- hind to win on a timely conversion kick. Oat puts the stop on Day Fleo makes good the extra point 55 29-0 Gaining momentum after three consecutive victories the Bulldogs rolled to an easy win over a large Marlin ball-club. Touchdowt 42-6 In this last non-conference tilt the mighty 'Dogs sharpened their fangs as 14-24 In a game that will be long remembered in the hearts and minds of all Crockett fans; these two district contenders met in hard- fought contest which resulted in a heart- breaking loss for the Bulldogs at the hands of the Rusk Eagles. 56 Lover , looking for Daryl?? 21-6 In this highly publicized East Texas football tilt, the Bulldogs were able to easily defeat the highly- favored and confident Kirbyville Wildcats. Juicy to the rescue! Closes in The Hound breaks away!! 34-0 they blunted the claws of speedy Teague Lions in an explosive offensive battle. In this first conference game, the State- ranked Bulldogs set their sights on the 21- AA District Crown by easily defeating the Woodville Eagles. 33-0 Roaring back after their first and only set- back of the season, the revenge-filled Bulldogs trounced the Livingston Lions. Knox, Stephens, Cook, Sims, Graham, Bridgwater, Barney, Bear, Morgan, Gourley, Heath, Carlton, Rich, Turner, McDonald The Crockett High School Girls Team, entering the sea- son with the same team as last year, had a record-breaking season this year. Starting on offense were three juniors, Sue Graham, San- dra Sims, and Peggy Barney. The starting defense consist- ed of Gayle Gourley, Pat Bridgwater, Wanda Cook, and Cindy Carlton. The offense broke the standing high score record by scor- ing 78 points in the season opener against Centerville. For another first , Crockett defeated Livingston and moved in- to first place in district play. After losing a one-point heartbreaker to Livingston, the Crockett team went into a district play-off and lost by a total of nine points. It had the greatest number of honor students to graduate in the ninety-five year history of the school.
