1964 Bulldog Band Sweetheart SAMMYE HALYARD The Crockett High School Band represents the school and the city in many events and places throughout the year. This year's events have been the usual half-time shows, parades, contests, and concerts, all of which have been very successful. The 1963-64 marching band won honors in parades in Nacogdoches (1st place) and Lufkin (2nd place) and received the rating of excellent at the U.I.L. Marching Contest in Carthage. STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council members, elected by their classmates, serves as the governing body of the school. The council tries to carry out the wishes of the student body as a main part of their program. Along with its governmental duties, the coun- cil declares various days throughout the year to make the school year more interesting.
