PICNIC AT BENNETT SPRINGS The high school engoyed it annual picnic at Bennett Sprlngs wednesday Aprll 24 e f Crocker about 8 40 A M The Senlors, with their sponsor, Miss Patterson, rode ln NH' Yaylor's bus The Juniors, with their sponsor, Mr Hantze, Mr Felty, rode in Andy Wall's bus The Fre hm n and Sophomores with their sponsors, Mr Pum ill and Miss Longcrier, in Mr Helm's bus We arrived at Bennett Springs about 10 15 We roamed thegrounds until around 12 OO when we all went back where the busses were and had dinner Our dinner consisted of sandwichhs, pickles, potato chips, fruit salad, cake, and cookies After dinner we again began roaming around. Picture fiends Kincluding M 1 s s Patterson, Miss Longcrier, Bobby Burgess, a n d Lloyd Deckerl w e r e seen scattered here a n d there over the grounds euupping pictures of this one and that one, of groups of girls, groups o f boys, and couples lyou know it was a typicalspring day, and in the spring a young man's fancylightly turns to thoughts of love'J About 5 50 we c me home tired, but happy T he Senior bus was rid ing along at a leisurely rate of speed when they came upon the Sophomore bus which was stopped t the slde of the road wlth a flat tile The Sen'tzs offered thelr assistance, but with so many Fr men and Soohonores it seems that thelr wasn't needed So the Seniors went on thpll Evervone vt tired, and also qulet except Bil Lawrence, nd Vis Patterson who were pl r game of picking out their A B C's on Sl5WS Tut alas, tnelr game was rudely int rrunted b time The Junlor c me long nd gave the sistance Everyone started out agaln for home The game was flnlshed and we made the rest of he trip with no more interruptions We arrive' about 6 OO P M It was a very sucoe sful day Mr Hantze Do you wean to say there is only one cour e for dinner ton1ght9 Ju t cheese?
