1976 PRINCIPAL'S ADDRESS Crittenden Countians live in an area of the United States that is second to none in beauty. We live among people who have human faults, but are second to none when it comes to just being basically fine people. Our Board of Education has built us a new school that meets our needs for space and facilities. We have the lo- cation, the people, and the building. Now all we need are two of the ele- ments that sparked the “Spirit of 76”. These elements are determina- tion and unity, and the Crittenden County Schools will be “second to none. ' t rfcr ATTENDANTS SOPHOMORE Jon Kelley Patty Beavers FRESHMAN Stuart Whitt Lajean Patmor JUNIOR Mark Hollomon Lynne Collier £ i !■ O Who is this man we see with a pen behind his ear? Who is he to think existentialism, dream individuality, eat knowledge, drink information, and live all of these? This is the man we find sitting behind a desk with TIME magazine, a pen, NEWSWEEK, a cup of coffee. Psychology beaming from his eyes. Sociology flowing from within, Geography spread across his mind, Intelligence--an abundance! It is to you, Sir, that we dedicate this Yearbook. We do this not to increase your knowledge. This is done for you because to us you mean all of the above. With your meaning for life perhaps one or even two of us may improve and that, for certain, makes it all worthwhile. Thank you, The 1976 Rockette Staff DALE SCHWE1ZER There is always someone in a school who silently and uncomplainingly does the job set before her. This year the Rockette Yearbook Staff takes this opportunity to give Mrs. Donna Matthews special rec- ognition. She has helped us so often through the years as students whether it be a problem with the card catalog or just a word we couldn’t spell. This year she has helped us with the yearbook and answered all of our close-to-dumb questions and listened to our absolutely-preposterous ideas. She is librarian, teacher, and, to this staff, a friend. 1976 ROCKETTE STAFF the days that are no more. Tennyson SUPERINTENDENT EDWARD “PETE HICKEY 10 SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS: L-R: P. Hickey, D.
