WE DEDICATE W ith the turn of a new century. 1050 marks pin sieally the beginning of Crittenden County High School. The consolidation of the first county high school. Frances, with Shady Grove. Mattoon. and Tolu made possible the new school. The early founders and teachers taught principles of truth, and thoroughness of preparation for life s work are still the guiding standards of the consolidated school. The Shamrock pictures illustrate the surface changes which time has brought. Tin- fixed things that remain are written in the minds and hearts of all the students who have attended schools in Crittenden County. From these strong foundations Crittenden County High School has reached to embrace new projects and achieve a better basis for education. The future years will not be easy, each new milestone of progress will include new difficulties. The 1055 graduating Senior Class moves on. each to complete the individual milestone of his existence, each urged by the inspiration given to him by those who were continually striving to obtain higher education for him. The 1055 Shamrock edition is dedicated to those early Founders of education. School Trustees. Teachers. Parents and Citizens of Crittenden County who have given unselfishly of their time and energy to the building of a greater Crittenden County High School completes tin- picture of a well organized school for the hoys and girls of Crittenden County.
