College 6 M031 VAL ABLE PLAYER 0rrin Clement Orrin Clement is one of the most outstanding men ever to piay football in the Canal Zone. Although he weighs on1y 129 pounds, many times during this past season he outpiayed rival quar- terbacks who were much heavier. He is a very versatile man and can both run and pass. His rushing average is 6.0 yarcis per carry, a recorci which few quarterbacks anywhere can match, and he is an accurate passer, both on Long passes and short passes. His completion recorci is 56.2W, an average which piaces him up among the hest of the nationys passers. His abiiity on offense is shown by the fact that during the Page 92 past season he personally accounted for gains totaiiing 1050 yards and a total of 75 points. He was chosen as quarterback for the A11-Zone team marie up of the eieven best Zone players, and was the on1y Cristobal piayer to he chosen unanimously. He quarterhacicecl the A11-Stars in the Palm Bowl and Ieci them to victory over Canat Zone Coiiege for their first victory since 1958. Best of aL1,.he was a Junior this past season and thus has another year to piay for the Tigers. TRACK ltgassfs fe ,vi 'Yr 2 f-flags, .
