It got off to a fine start, winning the Fresh- man-Sophomore Brawl by an overall victory. The class began its career by electing Henry Mizrachi as its President, Wayne Wall, Vice-President and janet Swicegood, Sec- retary-Treasurer. Together with Mr. Griswold and the members of the decorating com- mittee, the officers produced an outstanding dance, the Carnival Caper. On September 9, 1954, as Sophomores, the Class of '57 took another victory in the Brawl. This was only the second class in many years to accomplish such a feat and it proved that this was an above average group. The members of the class continued to prove this when they made their wise selection of class officers: Wayne Wall, President, Milton Grover, Vice-President, Sandra Keene, Secretary-Treasurer. During the year, Wayne was transferred to Balboa and Milton Grover assumed the position as head of his class. The theme for the class dance was pink and black. The title was The Star Dust Ball. These mighty Sophomores also produced a very successful assembly. As juniors, the Class of 1957 was well up on the list of top tunes. In face it was number two with only one more step ahead. To assure success, the members of the class elected Bob Williford as President, Brian Cox, Vice-Presidentg Pat Maedl, Secretary and Diane Geddes, Treasurer. An informative assembly was presented to the Student Body on the subject of Panama's Independence. The juniors also gave the annual Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet which was titled, A Venetian Masque. These pro- ductions were well received. At last the long hoped for goal: Number One on the Hit Parade for nine straight months! With the tedious hours of work and the enjoyment received from their three former years of school, these self-made seniors had made the grade! Following the pat- tern set a Fr h b ' ' ' s es men, a oy was elected to lead his class. Davld Hawthorne did an ex- cellent job as President with the help of his officers, Sandra Motta, Vice-President, Kathleene Brede, Secretary and Pat Maedl, Treasurer. The members of the Graduating Class of 1957 excelled in many fields, including Dramatics, Sports and Scholastic Activi- ties. We are certam that this year's Top Tunes will be heading the list for many more years to come. Trying to visualize what the list of top tunes will be, we see some of the hits of the year 1957 being revised. Two of the top hits, Brian Cox and David Haw- thorne, are found managing their theater, the 'lGreen Door , where that great dancing team of Fred john- son and Alice Lim do the Rock and Roll Waltz along with their other dance routines. Another top hit working there, is that singing artist, Bunchy Gegg, who's Sweet and Lovely voice is famous for her record, Shortnin' Bread , written by l'Mr. Five by Five , Milton Grover. Sam Newhard and Dennis Corrigan, the two famous Undecided hunters were Stranded in the jungle until Jean Chambers and Gail Macpherson, in their Flying Saucers , spotted them near My Prayer', a Bible School owned by Bill Rankin. Bob Williford, a faithful member, is trying to talk George Wetzel into building an Ivory Tower where they'll have Moments to Remember Dorotny Hauser, a world-known physicist, was staying at the Heartbreak Hotel , owned by Mary Morland, when Dan Ramsey came to take her to the Darktown Strutters' Ball . Afterwards they were going to see The Great Pretender , Barry Davison, in the play Free Eats . Co-starring with him are Ianet Swicegood, Mike Brians, and that famous trio, Ted Herrman, George Mercier, and jeff Slaughter. Spending April in Portugal are the very wealthy Carolyn Sanders and john Coffey, who accidentally met in Lisbon Antiqua . After talking over old times, they decided to visit some of the Poor People of Paris --Sandra Motta, Bob Lowe, and Ronald Choy. Pat Peck and Fred Pritham, two great scientists, have taken a Slow Boat to China to analyze dif- ferent types of the Fever . While there, they heard Brown Eyes , Judy Tipton, sing See ya Later, Alli- gator . On the ship coming home, the navigator, Jerry Robnett, ran into Stormy Weather and they were forced to head for Tuxedo junction Page 52 Margery Connard cried, Take Me Out to the Ball Game because she wanted to see Ray Croft pitch A Smooth One over the home plate at the New York Stadium. Ross Tobin is A Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech. Lamoine Werlein has been named Mr. Touchdown of the year 1967. Go, Man, Go is what everyone says when speaking of Eddie Smith, the basketball star of the 1964 Olympics. It seems that Dr. Philip Hadarits, who has The Magic Touch , has recruited that Sweet and Gentle 'Kathleen Brede to work as his special nurse. Some of the other High Society nurses working there are Jeanette Swicegood, Terry Louis, Rosalie Vowell, and Dianne Geddes. Henry Mizrachi, who committed the Murder on Tenth Avenue , was finally apprehended by that Flatfoot , Ken Stone. Mizrachi's accomplice, Dean Hause, cried, Don't Be Cruel . They got the Heat Wave Pat Maedl, who's hearing Wedding Bells , has her eye on some millionaire in Mississippi. The former Rachel Radel had a Golden Wedding and of course, Mary Lou Dailey, Cathy Lindsey, and Sandra Hughes have also made up their minds as to which male will say those Three Little Words', to them. Ken Brown, Admiral aboard the U.S.S. Hound Dog , is trying to round up his men after a Ten Day Furlough . Wilson Chong, Bernard Craig, and Bennie Dials reported with that Anchor's Away look, so they set sail for Port-au-Prince . james Hanna and Donald Nolan, both members of the Fly Boy Bounce , have been seen flying around in their jets. Even some of our female hits have joined the service. Emma-Lee Blaylack, Lynda Geyer, and jo Ann Harte definitely agree that Theres Some- thing About a Soldier , especially ones like David Stanley and Alvaro Saborio. james Longo and his assistant, Gail johnson, have discovered that the world will undergo a Trans- fusion in about forty years. Quiet Please , Marcela Leignadier's at work! She has come to the con- clusion, with the aid of Nello Rosania and Martha Pryor, that slang words, such as Be-Bob-A-Lula have meanings.
